| How we can help |
| Happy Heat and Power is the inspirational glue for getting groups of people together to choose an energy efficiency project, or invest in a new efficient energy supply or renewable energy supply that works for them. |
| We do this because acting together brings economies of scale in attracting grants, buying in bulk and generating energy from larger installations. |
| The community can then benefit financially from being an energy generator rather than a consumer. And it also brings joy and connectedness to your community, knowing that you're doing your bit to cherish our planet and ourselves. |
| As well as providing that all important impetus at the beginning, Happy Heat and Power then guides the journey to success, through providing technical, legal and managerial experience or links to the people that can. |
| For example Happy Heat and Power advises on what type of structure a community needs to make the zero carbon idea into reality - setting up a Community Co-operative, a Trust, a Community Energy Services Company...? Happy Heat and Power makes it easy and fun. |
| As part of this work, Happy Heat and Power does audits of homes, businesses and other building types to find out what the carbon emissions are and what can be done about them. The approach is rounded and inclusive - finding out how people are using the building and ensuring the recommendations will maximise comfort, happiness and productivity as well as minimise carbon. |
| And if Happy Heat and Power can't do the particular audit you're after, we know lots of people who can and will seamlessly pass you on to the right contacts. Happy Heat and Power is currently doing audits of music industry companies as part of Julies Bicycle. |
| Happy Heat and Power is also investigating new funding mechanisms, to help developers, investors and other interested individuals fund energy efficiency, efficient supply and renewable supply on a community level. |
| This is the new offset - funding real projects in the UK, which have a measurable impact on UK carbon emissions and lots more benefits to the community besides. |
